Aston Villa could not win: Spurs rescue a 1-1 tie at Villa Park

Tottenham Hotspurs rescued a point in their visit at Villa Park Stadium. Gabriel Agbonlahor scored the lead for Aston Villa, but the Spurs dominated the last period and manage to equalize the match with a nice goal netted by Michael Dawson.

Redknapp - Spurs' coach - expressed that his team deserved the victory: "I'm delighted with how we played. I thought in the second half we played some great football and really made all the chances. We deserved to win."

Martin O'Neill said that it was not an easy game, and the tie was fair enough. "I thought we played very strongly in the first half and got the goal and always created opportunities. We proved to be tough and fast, but the second half was totally for Tottenham. You can't play well the entire 90 minutes."
